Hi I'm Wayne

"I'm a Mormon Through and Through" All ( I mean all ) of my ancestors were Mormon Pioneers

About Me

I'm presently retired. I'm a father of a large family and a Grandfather of an even larger family. I'm enjoying my retirement with my wife who is also retired. We love to take trips. My wife and I love going to movies. I love doing family history and have an abundance of information on my ancestry. I identify with my religious faith and can say "I am a Latter-day Saint or Mormon" I love my membership in the church. Yes, I was born to LDS Parents but they were not practicing LDS until I was 12 years of age. My parents' reconversion was truly a bless in my life and I grew to love the church and as a result came to love the Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a non-participating LDS home. When I was 12 years old our family became active participants. I gained a strong faith by participating and seeing the change in our Family atmosphere. Through study, prayer and participation I gained a testimony that the Savior is real, that he died for us and was resurrected for us. He did organize a church and it is my belief that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is his church is his church.

How I live my faith

My wife & I are involved in helping others not of our faith to understand the LDS religion. Our church allows it's members to participate so I have been able to teach Sunday School and other religious classes. I am assigned to visit other people each month to make sure they are doing OK. I have helped in leadership assignments. We have completely lay participation in the church so there are a lot of things to do and I enjoy being involved. I have been able to Baptize other people into the church. What a joy that was! I have involved myself in working to help the poor and sick and those with other needs. I try to follow the Saviors example in loving my neighbor.
