Hi I'm Nicole

I grew up in Washington. I'm a convert to the church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

"You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl!" That pretty much describes me. I am happiest when I get to pull my hair up, put my boots on and go riding off on a 4-wheeler. In the winter I live to hike and the summer you can't get me off my surfboard. Basically anything outdoors makes me happy. I love to laugh and I could talk to anyone for hours. When I was almost 13 my family joined the church and have been truly blessed ever since. My little brother is the first child of record and I'm the first person in my entire family to be going on a mission pretty soon which is totally awesome if you ask me. One day I hope to be married in the temple to the man of my dreams and have 4 beautiful kids and live in a big house with lots of land.

Why I am a Mormon

It took me almost 7 years to figure the answer to this question out. My parents joined the church when they were in their teens but fell away due to some hardships a few years later. It wasn't until my brother and I started getting older that they realized we needed some kind of religion in our lives. So we took the lessons and got baptized. For the next few years I was stoked. I was finally making friends in school and my family was so much happier. Then high school came and I went through my rebellious phase. For awhile I quit going to church and basically wanted nothing to do with it. Then one day the summer after I graduated I decided I needed to grow up and stop acting like a child. I started living more responsibly. I looked to my friends getting ready to serve missions as examples to me. Then when it came that time I decided I needed to serve a mission myself. I decided I wanted to be one of the missionaries that changed someones life for the better. I wanted to help make families eternal. And being Mormon is the best way to do that. Spreading the Gospel has brought so much joy into my life. Just reading the scriptures everyday and praying brings so much peace that other religions couldn't bring. In my search with my parents when I was younger for a church to attend I was also so confused and felt out of place with the loud music, dancing, yelling and weird prayers. I didn't feel right at those churches. Then one day we went to the ward we are in now and the Holy Ghost brought this feeling of peace over us and we haven't left since. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping as a sun beams teacher. The children can be hard to handle a lot of the time and I may find them slightly intimidating but this calling has become one of the biggest blessings in my life. Not only do I get to be around little ones and understand just a glimpse what motherhood is going to be like but I get to have lots of fun doing it. They are so eager to learn and their answers are so sincere. I absolutely love it!
