Hi I'm Lindsey

I have lived in Utah almost my whole life. I'm heavily involved in collegiate music and track and field. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always been fascinated with music of all kinds. My mom had me start piano lessons when I was five years old. By the age of eight I was involved in choir, and when I was thirteen I picked up the flute. Music is a huge part of my life. I am currently pursuing a degree in Flute Performance. I knew I wanted to make music my career because of how it makes me feel, and how I hope by developing my talents I can bless others. I want to be in symphonies/pit orchestras and teach private flute lessons. A hobby that I have that I am very passionate about is running. I absolutely love the feeling of me and the track, the sweat and drive of competition, and the sense of accomplishment I get when I run. I have been competing in track and field for about 9 years now. I am currently running in college! I also love doing any kind of outdoor activity, watching movies, laughing, eating sushi, being with my family and having fun. I love being silly and crazy with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am so happy to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love being a member because I know that true and lasting happiness can be found through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Christ's church has been restored the earth today. I believe in the power of the priesthood, which is the authority and power of God given to worthy men to act in His name. I know that the prophet, Thomas S. Monson, receives direction from God about the church and that Jesus Christ is at the head. I know that Christ lived and that He died for our sins. I know that He suffered so that He could know how to help each of us. I know we can repent and come unto Him and that He can heal us and make us whole. I know that He loves each of us infinitely and that He will always love us. I know He conquered death and made it possible for us to return to our Father in Heaven someday. I love being a member of Christ's church because I am so grateful to my Savior, Jesus Christ, that I want to live my life in such a way to show Him my gratitude and my love. I want to follow His teachings and become more like Him with his perfect attributes. I still have hard times and hard struggles, but the gospel gives me hope. Being a member of His church helps me feel His love daily and that gives me strength when I do have hard times come in my life. I know that God has a plan for each of us. Because the priesthood has been restored to the earth, I can participate in ordinances found in Christ's church that contribute to my salvation. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has made my life amazing in so many ways and I am so grateful for the knowledge, peace, and true lasting happiness it gives me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best that I can day by day. I try to do daily things that will make me a better person. I strive to reach out to people and be kind like Christ would. I read my scriptures and pray so that I can feel His influence and be aware to spiritual feelings. I serve in my ward at church by being an instructor, I prepare lessons and teach them about once a month. I love doing it because I feel like teaching helps me learn more about the gospel and also helps me feel closer to the people I teach.
