Hi I'm Patricia Franceschine

I was baptized at age 26 as a single mom with two daughters in 1980. What a difference my life is now. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. I am enjoying my recent retirement from the accounting field. I enjoy making cards, crocheting, cross-stitching, riding motorcycles, hiking, camping, helping others and road trips. I also enjoy watching movies with my family, reading books aloud to others, long walks on the beach and in the rain. I especially love making others SMILE.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 26 years old and a single mom with two young daughters. I had recently divorced, my father had recently passed away and I was feeling very much alone. Having been raised Protestant I was again searching the scriptures, attending different churches and investigating trying to find where God wanted me. One fall evening two young men knocked on my door who represented this church. I had never heard of the Mormon church before. They introduced me to this wonderful church where there is a living prophet leading and guiding the church, it is very family oriented, constantly encouraging increased knowledge, every four years we cycle through the Bible, Book of Mormon and Church History in Sunday School. The activities for the youth are very goal driven and you can feel the guidance of the Holy Spirit and know that everyone is doing their best to live the commandments. I know that God and Jesus Christ live today and are very much aware of each one of us and what we do. There is a plan for us, that is why we are here, to learn, experience good and bad, and to grow from every experience. Learn to ask...what am I supposed to learn from experiences instead of why is this happening to me. Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ truly love us, know us, and want the best for us. Choices are ours, consequences of our choices we do not get to choose. The best thing is....I know I am never alone Jesus Christ is always there for me no matter what I am going through, happy or sad, good or bad, He is there for me. To celebrate with me or to comfort me. God lives. Jesus Christ Lives. We have a living prophet today that guides us. Please come join us, we would love to have you with us.

How I live my faith

I help organize monthly activities for the women 18 and above in our ward. I have four women that I visit and teach a gospel message to each month with a wonderful companion who is in her 80's. Assisting others by picking them up for church activities is a small way in which I am able to be the Lord's helping hands for women who don't drive, or don't drive at night. I love serving in any capacity to which I am called, whether it be helping serve food for a funeral, help teach a class, or give a talk. I am willing to serve and be an instrument in God's hands for good.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Patricia Franceschine
The blessings I have received in reading from the Bible, Book of Mormon and other scriptures is knowing that God lives as does His Son Jesus Christ. When I feast upon the scriptures I am more happy, cheerful, helpful and feel joy and satisfaction with my life. The scriptures have helped me grow closer to God and Jesus Christ, to understand their personalities and how loving they are toward me as a person. I refer to the scriptures as letters from home. They truly are letters for our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I learn of their attributes, their love for me and they help me to grow closer to them spiritually. As you prayerfully ask for understanding as you study the scriptures doors will be opened and understanding will flood in. Your faith and love for God and Jesus Christ will increase and your desire to help others and to be like Him become a more natural part of your daily life as your feast upon them daily.
