Hi I'm Jacob Farnsworth

I am a student at BYU. I am 6'8" and love basketball. I started my own business in high school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the Salt Lake valley with my mom and dad, three younger sisters, and my golden doodle, Docie. I played basketball with all my friends growing up as well as attending school and church. I played high school basketball and reached the state championship in 2013. During high school I started my own landscaping company by collecting several dozens of clients and hiring employees. I currently am a student BYU and will leave to serve in the Calgary, Canada mission on May 7th.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I see the world around me and the blessings in my life and know that I am not responsible for any of it. God created everything and has blessed me with all the opportunities in my life. Through reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon, both testaments of Jesus Chist, I see the goodness of Christ and the commandments he gives to us. I follow these commandments and keep high standards and values because I want to be like Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my student ward at BYU, preparing for my LDS mission, and serving my fellow students. I have been extended a calling by my Bishop to serve and look after my friends in my ward. I attend my mission preperation class that is provided through the university, and study the scriptures and Preach My Gospel so when I leave on May 7th to preach the gospel to the people of Calgary, Canada I will be confident and prepared.
