Hi I'm Tilghman

Grew up in Derby Kansas, Playing football since 3rd grade. I'm Mormon

About Me

My name is Tilghman.I have grown up in Kansas for my short 19 years of life. I graduated from Derby High school. I went to Community College for a semester and I am now preparing to go on my mission. I was called to serve in the Argentina Rosario mission! I played football for 10 years. Since the 3rd grade. In high school I was a part of 2 state championship teams for the 6A class. I love to camp and do many out doorsy like things. Hunting, fishing, etc. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, I was born into a loving family who were already members. Many may say "I was born into the Church." That may be true for me but I didn't fully convert myself to it until I was about 17. Like most teenage football players I wanted to be a part of the "cool crowd". This led to me doing many things that I am not proud of. However, I don't regret a thing because if it wasn't for the many sins I have committed I wouldn't be the man I am today. I believe God gives us tough battles so that we may come out of them stronger soldiers for his army. Brothers and Sisters, this Church true. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't. There's something about this Church that gives me an almost permanent spiritual "high" . The things in this world are only temporary. This Gospel is Forever. Joseph Smith did pray to the Father and he did see Him and his Son Jesus Christ. The Church is true. I know that whom ever may read this will find out for themselves whether it is true or not. Life can beat us down until we feel as if we are stubble. But its through Heavenly Father and his Son that we may feel as if we are mighty oxen. I love this Gospel. Nothing and nobody will ever be able to shake my testimony of it.

How I live my faith

I am a ward missionary in my ward. (Good training for a future missionary) I live my faith each and every day by waking up and getting on my knees immediately to say a prayer to my Father In Heaven. I like to look at that morning prayer as putting on some of God's armor for the daily "battles" that I may face. I then work out and after I study in my scriptures. Mostly the Book of Mormon. It is the true word of God. I live each day and think about things I can do for Heavenly Father. I try to help others as much as possible and I try to make people smile. I try to live as Christ lived.
