Hi I'm Thomas

I am from Las Vegas. I like to be outdoors, play sports, and workout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college and have a mission call at the moment. I love to lift weights and I'm all about fitness. Something interesting about me is that I am allergic to a lot of different fruits and some vegetables.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to the church with my brother and my dad when I was 12 years old. I can remember going through sets of missionaries before being baptized because my dad did not want to become a member, and if my dad did not want to do something, then I didn't want to either. Finally my dad and I, really started to take the missionary lessons seriously and got baptized in the following months. At first, it was the least exciting thing a 12 year-old boy could ask for; going from no church on Sunday to three hours every Sunday seemed like the most miserable thing a parent could do to their child. As I got older I started to enjoy the lessons that were given on Sunday and actually started to enjoy going to church. The group of friends that I made and the things that I learned are great. I can't even imagine where I would be right now if it had not been for the church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to live by the guidelines of the church, everyone slips up now and then but its okay. I try to get my home-teaching done every month because I know that it is important to the people that I teach. I am in charge of coordinating the sacrament for church every Sunday, so I have the special opportunity to be involved with both its preparation and passing every week. Reading the scriptures and taking religion classes at school helps me to gain a greater understanding of who I am and what my purpose on the earth is.
