Hi I'm Beth

I am a 20 year old, aspiring life changer, and testifier of Christ. And i'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am a Sophomore going to school for Child development. I love painting, playing volleyball, interior decorating, knitting, eating chocolate, teaching young children, and being a part of this church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe. I have always struggled with my own testimony and relying on my own faith and not others. For a long time I relied on my parents, and that tends to leave as you go to school and are on your own. I have felt that my Heavenly Father loves me. I know that Jesus Christ died for me. If there is one thing I am absolutely positive about, it is that Christ would go through his pain and suffering all over again just for me. And for you. He loves us that much. I used to think I knew what love was, and then I realized I had no idea. Christ is love. I know that God has a plan for each of us. I know that as we continue on by faith that we will know how to follow that plan. Ether 12 talks so much about doing things "by faith". I have a testimony that if we do everything by faith, we will come to trust and know that our Heavenly Father knows so much better than we do and if we put our will in him, he will help us move mountains. I had the opportunity to serve in several orphanages in Ecuador this summer. At every point of the day I saw Christ's hand in my life. There was no way I could have made it there on my own and been so confident and assured if it wasn't for the knowledge of Christ. I have never had a personal testimony of angels and being in Ecuador made me KNOW that angels surround us daily, in everything we do. I could feel ancestors guide me and support me along the way and without them, I would have been lost and hopeless.

How I live my faith

I currently teach in the nursery in my family ward. I am constantly surrounded by small children in my life and I think I learn more than they do! I love how simple and kind children can be. There is no deception, evil, bad thoughts, or underlying message to them. They are humble, simple, and so sure of themselves.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Beth
In my opinion, a testimony is something you know to be true. We use it in the form of gospel and church related when we talk about it but it basically is something you know to be true. Show more Show less
