Hi I'm Nick

I'm a sports fan, a sci-fi geek, a computer tech, a full-time missionary, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I come from a large family. I am the second oldest of 8 kids. I was born in Utah and have lived there ever since. I love sports. Especial my BYU Cougars, but I have plenty of favorite teams to keep me excited no matter what sports season it happens to be. I love anything Sci-fi and constantly identify myself as a Trekkie. I had a job as a computer tech, fixing computers, that I just loved. I also like to ballroom dance. I've been doing that for about 7 years now. I am an odd person with lots of different interests, but to be any other way would be "illogical".

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and raised by fantastic parents. They taught me what I ought and ought not to be doing. As I did what I should do I felt happier. I saw the difference in people around me who were doing what they should and those who were not and there was a difference in the way they felt. It seemed to me that real fulfillment in life could be obtained through following God's commandments. So having seen that, I decided to do as the Savior directs and do His will so that I could know of the doctrine. Obviously I was not always perfect at it, but as I have tried to do as Jesus Christ would have me do I have come to know for myself that this is true.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best person I can. That includes service to others in the church or the community. I have done many service projects with local service clubs. I have served in the church as president of local unit youth groups. Right now I am a full-time missionary for the church in the Michigan Detroit Mission. Preaching the gospel all over the metro-Detroit area. I am constantly looking for ways to improve myself and be a little better. Because, I'll be honest, I have a lot of things I can improve.
