Hi I'm Rich Flora

I grew up in Gary, Indiana. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a veterinarian, and am currently the Dean of Veterinary Technology at St Petersburg College. My wife, Vicki, and I have been married 40 years, and are the parents of two outstanding children, and the grandparents of six exceptional grandchildren. I love the outdoors, and enjoy golf, fishing, swimming, and cycling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because friends prayed to have someone to share the Gospel with. We always knew that a true religion required a commitment that encompassed your entire life. We found that life commitment in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We knew the message we heard from the missionaries was true from the second we heard it. And confirmed that knowledge through prayer and the promptings of the spirit. We know of the truthfulness of the Gospel yet today.

How I live my faith

My faith drives my life. I have had many callings, including with the youth and adults in several areas of the country. My current calling is in our bishopric. I go wherever the Lord needs me and do whatever he needs me to do. Blessings have come in every calling.

Are Mormons Christians?

Rich Flora
We believe that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. Through his atonement we are forgiven of our sins if we truly repent and resolve to no longer commit the sin. He is the only way to receive a remission of our sins and return to live with him and Heavenly Father for eternity. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Rich Flora
We do not worship Joseph Smith. We revere him as a prophet, and as the prophet that restored the true Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth. We worship God our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
