Hi I'm Daniel

I am a student, a musician, and a friend. I love taking pictures of nature, and meeting new people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from the beautiful land of California. I have a great family, with wonderful parents, and three very different, but awesome siblings. I am a sleep-deprived college student, and I get a lot of joy from learning knowledge, and hanging out with friends. I appreciate God's creations and I love to take pictures of them. The world is such a fascinating place so I enjoy learning about different cultures, languages, and people. Recently, I've combined my love of cultures, and my love of dance, by joining a folk dance team at college. It is so fun! Also, music is an important part of my life, and playing the trombone and piano brings great joy to my life. I am very outgoing and enjoy meeting lots of different people. My faith is very important to me, so I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon mostly because I was born into the Church. However, the reason why I continue to believe and follow the Church, even when I'm away from home or when nobody is watching, is because I have gained my own testimony through personal searching that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is completely true! From praying to God and pondering Church doctrines, I have learned that Jesus is the Savior, Joseph Smith restored Christ's church, and the Book of Mormon is true. I feel great comfort, peace, and guidance through the gospel and it has been the greatest source of happiness in my life. Knowing that there is a God who infinitely loves and cares about me as an individual, wanting me to return to Him, motivates me to be good and worthy to enter back into His presence. I make mistakes, so, the only way to do this is with repentance through Jesus Christ's Atonement. I am a Mormon because I know it is right and I know it is joyful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best person I can be. I work to understand and learn more about the gospel of Christ, by reading the scriptures, praying to God, and attending church. I believe following the commandments of God is vital to a truly happy life, so I follow them the best as I can. I don't participate in many inappropriate actions that many other college students do because I know that won't bring me joy. Also, I actively participate in my church congregation by attending services, and promoting community service opportunities to members.
