Hi I'm Ariel

I grew up in Singapore and Canada. I love travelling and trying new foods! I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born in Hawaii, but my family is Singaporean so we lived in Singapore till I was nine. We then moved to Vancouver, B.C, Canada and I now attend university in Provo, Utah. I love travelling to new places to take in the culture and sights! My favourite thing to do is to explore new restaurants to try in the cities I visit. In my free time you will find me watching movies, trying out a new recipe, and shopping. I also love the holidays and look forward to them each year-- especially Christmas and Thanksgiving!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I love the gospel and the happiness it brings me everyday. The simple truths guide me and give me hope in times of trials and tribulations. The gospel of Jesus Christ fills my heart with a warmth and comfort that cannot be found elsewhere. I am a mormon because I know of my divine potential and that I am of infinite worth to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ loved me so much, he gave his life for me and wants nothing more than for me to live with him again. I am a mormon because I love that families can be together forever. I know that I will be able to be with them in the next life and that physical death is only temporary. I love my family and am thankful that God has given them to me.

How I live my faith

A big part of living my faith is attending weekly meetings in church where I can feel God's love for me, as well as learn new things about the gospel. I currently am a Family Home Evening Leader, where I organize activities, and inspirational lessons for people my own age! My favourite part is Visiting Teaching, where I visit women to share with them a simple message, and to make sure their needs are being met. I love the warmth and connection it brings, and it really allows me to be charitable and serve others.
