Hi I'm Abigail

I'm a college student studying Life Sciences. I love laughter, camping, music, adventure, & my family. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I live for the adventure and excitement of trying new things. I have moved nine times in my life and am currently living in Utah. I love to travel and explore and have a goal to see as much of this incredible world as possible before I die. My family members are my very best friends. I am the oldest of 4 kids and my siblings are the greatest people on this planet! I am a freshman in college this year studying Life Sciences. I chose this department because I have always LOVED nature and the outdoors. I was the little girl who played with bugs and frogs she found in her backyard more than she played with dolls. I love to hike, camp, ski, boat, and anything else out in the open air. I really like to sing and have secret dreams of being in a small band. I love learning, life, bananas, and running. Overall, I’d say I’m a pretty happy person. I know that this joy I have in my life comes from living the Gospel and following my beloved Savior and Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the gospel. My parents are the best people I know and did all they could to help me grow a testimony. However, the thing about a testimony is that nobody can give it to you… you have to build it on your own. So it really wasn’t until my sophomore year of high school when I discovered that I did have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was involved with some things that were against the standards of the church. I felt very lost, dark, and alone. I had really harmed my relationship with my parents by not listening to them and doing things they desperately didn’t want me to do. It was a really low time in my life. It wasn’t until I couldn’t do it on my own any longer and I turned to Christ that things started looking up. He saved me. When I was least deserving, He reached His hand down to help me up. Things started getting better. I left all my friends and the bad things I was doing and started focusing on Christ. As soon as I did that, every aspect of my life started to improve. I felt life start flowing back into me, and slowly I started to be happy. I made a goal then to do all that I could to serve Him and become like Him. This is when my testimony started to grow, and it has been growing ever since. I KNOW that the gospel brings joy. Following the principles outlined by the Savior will make you happier than anything else ever could. Christ makes it possible for me to rejoice in the good times and find peace and hope in the hard times. I love Him beyond what I could ever explain! The Church helps me know who I am, where I come from, where I am going, and who I can become. I am a Mormon because it provides an unshakable foundation for me to rely on throughout this crazy life. I know that I am being prepared for greater and better things. This life is a time to prepare to meet God and someday life with Him in eternal happiness. I love being a Mormon!!

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is such a blessing because you get to LIVE your faith. You get to DO something about what you believe, and that is wonderful! I live my faith by following Christ and living the way He did. He is my light and my example, and I try to be like Him as much as possible. Every day is an opportunity to serve and love His children. I live my faith by studying my scriptures and praying daily, attending church on Sundays, and doing my best to get to know my Heavenly Father and Savior a little bit better every day.
