Hi I'm Paul

I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a dad of 4 and married to a wonderful woman and my best friend. I graduated from high school and college in Idaho. I lived in South Africa for two years, the country where I served an LDS mission. I was there when Nelson Mandela was released and as apartheid was coming to an end. I'm a college graduate and hold certificates in Public Administration, Project Management and Leadership Coaching. I enjoy history, politics, sports, the outdoors and action/adventure movies.

Why I am a Mormon

Despite being raised in the LDS church, I didn't really have my own convictions confirmed until I was age 17. After reading and studying the Book of Mormon, something I was familiar with from my childhood, I prayed to Heavenly Father to find out for myself the truth of what I had been taught. An answer was given, through the Holy Spirit! It's a great strength to me to know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who will provide answers to the questions so many have about life. Questions like, why am I here? what is the purpose of life and where do we go after this life? Answers will come to anyone who sincerely seeks. I continue to have confirming spiritual and uplifting experiences as I serve and strive to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching others, especially youth about Jesus Christ and His gospel. I frequently substitute teach early morning seminary. Class starts at 6:15 am. I am a former LDS bishop and enjoy serving in my church. I really like connecting with people and helping them discover their unique strengths and greatness. Although some of my best friends share my faith, I enjoy people from all walks of life and love to learn about other people's cultures and experiences.
