Hi I'm Jessica Robertson

I'm a California girl, born and bred. I love the outdoors, travel, adventure, music, and the arts. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college and studying to eventually become a Nurse Practitioner. I guess you could say that I like anything and everything. In high school, I was an active participant in Choir and I have a passion for all things in visual and performing arts. At the same time, I am an avid lover of sports; I may not be gifted in them personally, but I love a good game! One of my biggest sources of happiness is traveling and learning about different cultures, and ultimately serving people from all backgrounds.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of Jesus Christ. One of my biggest downfalls is my stubbornness and pride- I don't like having to rely on anyone else. I also have always wanted things to be cut-and-dry; logical and tangible. However, the Gospel has shown me that my minor strengths can become amazing forces for good when I submit myself to the will of God. I can't say that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt the truthfulness of everything. HOWEVER, I believe that what this Gospel stands for is truth. That love and charity and following Jesus Christ is the way to find true happiness. I have felt peace when I turn to Jesus Christ, trust in His atonement, and follow His gospel. I have received a witness from God, through the Holy Ghost, that His gospel has been restored to this earth through the true prophet Joseph Smith. Logically there is no way on Earth that a young man with so little education could produce a book such as The Book of Mormon. It has been written for us as a TESTAMENT OF JESUS CHRIST. Like the Bible, all things in that book point to the Lord. That's how I know it and the Holy Bible are scripture; they work in tandem to declare the holiness of our Savior and His message of joy and deep love. I am a Mormon because I am walking by faith to do those things the Lord has commanded His children.

How I live my faith

At the moment I coordinate service activities for my young adult ward. I love this calling because it allows me to find opportunities for hundreds of us to serve. We make a difference in our community while strengthening friendships. After all, one of the best ways to get to know someone is to serve with/for them!
