Hi I'm Katelyn

I'm a college student. I ride horses, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up on a small family farm where I was able to learn all the joys of hard work. I have done everything from milking cows, to pig wrestling, to hauling hay and showing sheep. I love to ride horses. My family has always encouraged me to try new things so I have been able to play volleyball and basketball, ballroom dance and sing in choir. Farming is definitely what I love best. I am the oldest of two children and I love my family very much, including my Grandmother that lives with us because she has Alzheimer's. I am currently at college studying business. I hope to get married and one day raise a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but that is not why I'm a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I have found out for myself that this Gospel is true. I never had any overwhelming spiritual experiences, instead my testimony has been built a little at a time. I know that God is there and that He is aware of me. He answers prayers and has a plan for each of us. Most importantly, I know that we are His children and that He loves us. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a young adult that has recently moved away from my family. This can be intimidating at times but it is comforting knowing that the church is there, no matter where you are. Because I am at college I live in an area with a lot of other young adults. My calling in church is to help the women in my ward. I get to help teach lessons in church, plan activities and oversee the well-being of the women I am over. This calling has helped me meet a lot of new people and I have made a lot of new friends.
