Hi I'm Angela

I'm a Mormon. I'm English, and have travelled and worked in different countries. I've lived in Holland since 1973.

About Me

I love music, singing and reading, and I'm an enthusiastic folk-dancer. I speak Dutch and French and studied to become a teacher of my native language, English. I have a class of keen ladies of a certain age hoping to improve their language skills. I have three lovely sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. I have good contact with them, although some live in other countries - internet can be a blessing!

Why I am a Mormon

My family is the most important part of my life, and I cannot accept that the end of a mortal life is the end of a beloved personality and spirit. I was brought up in a loving family, but my parents were of different religious backgrounds. It was a marvellous discovery to find the L.D.S. church, which teaches - through divine revelation - that, although we all suffer separation from loved-ones through death, families can eventually be together forever. That is a powerful comfort that can help me fulfill my potential here on earth without anxiety.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church for 37 years and have had callings teaching various classes, but mainly children - always rewarding. I was a member of the church choir for a while, which was challenging and great fun. My friends - in and out of the Church - have always been supportive, so I feel at home in a country that is not my country of origin.
