Hi I'm Rylann

I was born and raised in Pocatello ID. I'm athletic, outgoing, and I love to travel and try new things! I am a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a beautiful family of six. My Mother and Father blessed me with an amazing older sister, a free spirited little sister and a smart little brother. My family means everything to me and I cherish them and am thankful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with such an incredible family. I am very outgoing. I love to be on my feet and being productive, don't get me wrong I value my naps as well:) I am in love with sports. My favorites are basketball, track, and cross country, but to be honest I enjoy them all. I run cross country and track in college. My events in track are high jump and pole vault. Even with being an athlete my entire life I still believe that the best form of exercise is laughing. I am thankful everyday for my family, friends, leaders, teachers, and everyone who has played a role in my life to make me the young women I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

There are endless ways I could respond to why I am a Mormon. One of my favorite things of being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is that I know that families are forever. My family is the most important thing to me. Temples are a beautiful thing. There are many different things that take place inside their holy walls. My favorite one is Marriage and the sealing of families for time and all eternity. I am thankful that one day I will be able to be married in the temple and be sealed to my own family. I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross so that one day I, and all of his children, can be saved. I also know that he atoned for me. I use the atonement in my everyday life. I am forever thankful that I am able to remain clean because of the atonement. I love going to church every Sunday. Going to classes I love learning and relearning things of this gospel. I also love taking the sacrament. It is a sweet reminder of Jesus Christ and it is also a chance for me to renew my covenants with him. I live each and everyday with optimism and faith in my Heavenly Father as my testimony of this gospel grows.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the gospel, and I couldn't be more thankful to my parents for raising me the way they did. I recently moved away from home to attend college, in ND. It was the biggest transition of my life! All of the sudden I was 100% on my own. It became apparent to me that, although I had lived my whole life attending church every sunday, and going to church meetings, and mutual, along with other youth activities, it was now my choice to do all of those things. I love living my faith. At times it is challenging. There is not a great number of members attending my college. I know that I am an example to each and everyone of them as I let the light of christ shine through me by, reading my scriptures daily, saying my daily prayers, using clean language, and most importantly, not giving into temptation. I also live my faith by not being ashamed of the gospel. I gladly share brief church messages with my friends as they question me on why I do (or don't do) the things I do.
