Hi I'm Kassidy Hope Blackburn

I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah. I love helping others, being outdoors, and being with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just recently finished my first semester of college but will be taking a break from school as I have recently recieived my mission call to Peru. I cannot wait to serve the Lord and to grow while also helping others find the light of Christ. While waiting to leave for my mission I have been busy with work as a CNA at an Alzheimer's Unit. I love my job and I cannot wait to continue my education in the medical field. I love being with my family; they are my best friends and I would do anything for them. I love being outdoors, especially riding my horse in the mountains with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. I know this church, The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is true. I know it with my whole being. I know that Christ came to earth, suffered, and died for us so that we could return to live with Him again and to be able to repent for our sins. I know that Joesph Smith was a prophet who saw God, the Eternal Father, and that he restored this Gospel on the earth today; that he translated the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is true with all my heart. I have read it many times and I feel the spirit so strongly as I do so. I know that families can be together through the eternities; that this life is not the end, there is life after death and we can be with loved ones again. I have had to rely on this knowledge as my brother is no longer on this earth, but is with my Father in Heaven. I know that Heavenly Father has placed temples on the earth today so that we may feel closer to him and receive the ordinances required to live with him again, if we live righteously. I know that prayer is real. Our prayers are heard and are answered in the Lords own time. He will never leave us alone. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet and that he is the mouthpiece for the Lord. He receives revelation for the church to guide us. He will never lead us astray. I am so grateful for this Gospel and all that it has done in my life. I am a greater person because of it. I am so excited to go to Peru and bring others into this Gospel and to show Gods love for them. I am a Mormon because I love Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith today by following Heavenly Father's guidance for me. By being obedient to the commandments, going to church, praying, and reading my scriptures I become who God wants me to be. I live my faith by serving others and being there for them. You never know what others are going through and by serving others, you are serving God. I live my faith by trusting in Heavenly Father's plan for me and knowing that He will help me every step of the way as long as I live righteous and live in accordance to his words.
