Hi I'm Kailey

I love God, Family, and the Outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Northern Utah in an LDS home. I say home, not house, because home is where my family is. I lived in several houses, always surrounded by lots of family. My dad raised me with the help of a village after my mom passed away nearly a year after he was married and sealed to her in the temple. I was only 5 months old at the time of her passing. What a blessing it is to know that I am sealed to my parents forever, and I can see my mom again. Although growing up with out my mother was difficult, I was able to enjoy the blessings of several mother figures in my life. My grandmothers, my aunts, my friend's mothers, and young women leaders all played a role in the woman I have become today. My dad also shaped my life in insurmountable ways as he consistently shared his testimony and different experiences with me to help me grow into a strong Latter-day Saint. I have 4 younger siblings 2 are half siblings and 2 are step siblings. Growing up close to these four has taught me the importance of a close family and doing things that are wholesome to bring us together. I was married for Eternity in the Brigham City, Utah Temple to my forever love. I'm a family girl, who grew up in a split family, and in a small town. I am married to my love for eternity. I am also a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that true happiness comes when we follow the true principles Heavenly father gives us. I have found that the blessings of the Temple allow me to be with my family forever. This church gives guidelines that some may not enjoy, but these guidelines are not from man, they are from God and they bring more joy than anyone can find anywhere else in the world. These guidelines are given to us to help us return to our Father in Heaven. I have found so much happiness through the teachings in this church and I also know that through this church I can be with my family forever. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to better understand and know my Heavenly Father. As I pray to build a personal relationship with him, and read my scriptures to find answers to my prayers, I am able to see the divine power by which He has His hand in my life. Tender mercies are some of God's greatest blessings that are often times over looked. They can be so subtle, yet have a huge impact on our lives in the long run. By attending my church meetings weekly, I learn the teachings of Christ and his example in my life, and the way these tender mercies affect me. When I pray and study my scriptures I know that God knows me personally and answers my prayers through the Holy Ghost. When I attend the temple I feel a closeness to my Heavenly Father that can be felt no where else. I live my faith by striving to be an example for others to look up to. I live my faith through kindness and smiles! Kindness and smiles have always been a way for me to find happiness through the dark times. As I learned of Christ and his ministry, he was always in the service of Heavenly Father. Serving others here on earth is how I can find true happiness in helping God's children return to him. Just smiling at someone or saying "hello", can make their day brighter. My true happiness has come from the gospel. Heavenly Father is the only constant in my life. While people change, and circumstances change, Heavenly Father is always there for me. I smile because I know through my trials I am becoming what Heavenly Father wants me to be. I live my faith by being a tool in His hands, and finding ways to be a tender mercy He sends to someone else.
