Hi I'm Brittney

I live in Texas, I'm a mother of four young children and my husband is in Medical School.

About Me

I am the oldest of 6 kids. I had a lot of fun with my siblings growing up and I'm happy to say we are even better friends as adults. I went to high school in Texas and played a lot of soccer. After graduating I attended Brigham Young University where I studied Exercise Science and made some life long friends. I took a break from my studies to serve a mission. I went to Minneapolis, Minnesota speaking Spanish. I developed a great love for the Hispanic people and their warm, friendly ways. I married one of my fellow missionaries and we now have 4 young children. I wish I could list some hobbies; right now I'm really good at changing diapers and cooking dinner, negotiation sibling conflicts and playing legos.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a deep, burning testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet. He was called to restore the Church of Jesus Christ in the latter-days. I know that he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. Whenever I testify of this, I feel it burn within me again, a constant reminder that we are not alone. That we have modern day revelation and prophets to guide us. I am a Mormon because I love the Book of Mormon. It also testifies of Christ. My favorite scripture is "We talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." (2 Nephi 25:26) I am a Mormon because I love the Savior. In our home, we talk and rejoice and preach of Christ, that our small children may also look to Christ, the Redeemer of the world. I am so grateful for this knowledge and know that it has blessed my life, and will continue to bless my family.

How I live my faith

I love to serve! From helping out at swim meets to putting away somebodies grocery cart, I don't think any act of kindness or service is wasted. I love my Heavenly Father and I know the best way to serve Him is to serve those around me. I am often in need of help, and I really appreciate those who can lighten my burden. When I reflect on all the help (seen and unseen) that is offered me, I can't help but extend my arm to somebody else.
