Hi I'm James

I've lived mainly in Texas my entire life. Through the gospel of Christ, I have found peace and comfort. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father to three children, and a stepfather to two more. I've lived in Texas almost my entire life, aside from stints in Idaho, Washington (state), Japan and Afghanistan. I lived in Japan for two years on a church mission (Japan Fukuoka Mission). I was a contractor on FOB Salerno, Afghanistan, and lived in Idaho while going to college and then moved to Seattle before returning to Texas. I like to hike, hunt, scuba dive (it's been awhile), and have been skydiving.

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt the love of the Lord when I attending church and reading from the scriptures. I have been guided in my life when I have sincerely sought answers in prayers. The Lord has lifted my burdens as a literal promise in Matthew 11:28. There is much peace and love to be found in the gospel of Christ.

How I live my faith

Imperfectly. Don't get me wrong, I try to live the best I can to live as Christ teaches us. It feels, sometimes, that I fall more than I stand up. I strive to be obedient and put the will of the Lord before my own. I have found that God is merciful when I fall and helps me stand back up without scolding.
