Hi I'm Jerard Bohman

I grew up in Utah, I love the outdoors, I have lived in many great places, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in the city until I was five when my parents moved us to a farm. I enjoyed the country life and outdoors feeding sheep and having fun. As a teenager I moved back to the city. I spent two years in Australia serving a mission, which was a wonderful experience. I then went into the Air Force for twelve years, moving from California to Canada, back to California, on to Arizona, ending up back in Utah. I met my wife while in the Air Force. We are the parents of ten children which we enjoy immensely. I worked for a research and development company in materials testing, helping get the space shuttle back in the air after the Challenger disaster. I worked for a couple of other companies and finally ended up retiring from the Air Force Reserve. I love old cars and I love to go camping and to do gardening in my free time. A lot of my time is spent serving in the church and serving my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the church coming from a great pioneer heritage. However I reached a point in my life that I had to know for myself that the church was true. I followed the council of Moroni, an ancient prophet of God, to find out if the Book of Mormon was true. It was revealed to me in such a way that I knew the gospel was true. The teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints brings such joy and happiness into my life and that of my family. That's why I want to share this truth with others.

How I live my faith

My faith has influenced everything I do. Each day I try to be a good example of my beliefs in the church. I have served in many positions in the local congregations. I have been a cub scout leader, a teacher and leader with the young men (12-18), a Sunday school teacher with youth and adults, and a leader in our area calling others to serve in positions in the church. My church believes in honoring and obeying the law, and serving our country when called. I served our country for a total of 25 years in the Air Force. I have served a mission for my church in a foreign land. I recently finished a part time 2 year service mission with my wife in a Spanish congregation. Presently, we have been called to serve as full time missionaries in another state. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps me strengthen my faith and gives me a guideline to live by.
