Hi I'm Dan

I grew up in the potato fields of Idaho and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the agricultural area of South Eastern Idaho. My father did a lot of things, but his main vocation, and thus my early environment, was farming and raising livestock. From an early age I worked along side my father planting crops, feeding livestock, and fulfilling church assignments. After graduating from high school and attending Ricks College for a year, I served a mission in Germany. Following my mission, I completed school at BYU and took a job in Southern California as an Aerospace Engineer where I worked for 43 years. I took the opportunity along the way to teach computer science classes at California State University in the evenings for many years. A marriage and four children gave me plenty to do to fill in the time between work and teaching. My next adventure will be to serve a mission with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess I have always had faith that Mormonism was the church established by the Savior. In recent years I have begun to understand the scriptures much better and I have gained a great appreciation for the information found in the Bible and other scripture. One of the most important aspects is a living Prophet who helps us understand the scripture and provides the Church with revelation pertinent to our lives today.

How I live my faith

Since my teenage days, I always served in church callings and have been blessed to have associated with really choice members in every assignment. I have been a ward clerk at least 6 times, have worked in the Sunday School at the Ward and Stake level, and have served on a number of diverse committees.
