Hi I'm Nelly

I grew up in the Chicago, Illinois. I have served my country, opening a new business and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert and have been a member since 2009, I grew up in a Baptist Church in the suburbs of Chicago, did all the wrong things young boys do, graduated but did all the wrong things young men do, smoking, drinking, joined the armed services and matured some but not enough, lived my life in the suburbs where everything was the same all day every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost has touched me in so many ways, when I read the book of Mormon I could hardly stop, i have never been so inspired, and when i studied with the Missionaries, they actually made sure that I understood and left no stone un-turned, I'm a Mormon because I believe in this church and I know that it is the true church here on earth, I know that this church has a living Prophet and Apostles, I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet and that he brought back the Authority and the keys and the true Church has been restored to this earth, I believe in our father God and his son Jesus Christ, all these things I know to be true and I bear witness and I testify that this Church is true in Jesus Christ name... Amen

How I live my faith

I participate in ward, missionary and service work, for those in need and the elderly, my calling is Ward Missionary. I love what I do as a Missionary, I would love for everyone that I meet to feel like or close to what I feel on a normal day about the Gospel and our lord Jesus Christ, When I wake up in the morning I'm grateful to be here, another day to try to bring the Gospel to someone, who either has no Idea or just waiting on someone to ask them to come to church, sometimes that's all it takes is to ask someone, they are just waiting to be asked and I have no problem asking.
