Hi I'm Juel

I'm a Mainer who enjoys playing ice hockey. I am currently studying to become a nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born at a young age to a military family. We moved around before finally settling down in Maine after my dad retired. Throughout high school I played ice hockey and was a notable player for my height, my stature being a grand 4'10" (1.47m). I enjoy reading and listening to music. There's a certain thrill I love in trying and learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

Having been a Mormon all of my life, I actually struggled with the question of 'why am I a Mormon?' I didn't like to think that I simply was just doing what everyone else was doing, but that's what it felt like growing up in the church. Over the years, however, Heavenly Father's tender mercies have shown me that that isn't the case. I've come to realize is that who I am is a daughter of God who loves me and because I have grown up conscious of that love, I have grown to know and love Him. What I most desire is to do right in His sight and to be with Him again. God has proven to me time and time again as I have lived His Laws obediently, that this is His church and His Gospel. I know that God lives that this is the full and living gospel. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

By example. I believe that living in and with the Light of Christ has a certain power to it. I used to be an instructor or teacher in church and if there was one thing I learned from teaching the Gospel, it's that living what you teach is a potent way of introducing the doctrines of the Lord.
