Hi I'm Greg Taylor

I'm a world traveler, avid gymnast, and lover of strawberries with cream! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in northern Colorado, but moved to central California when I was in high school. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University studying conservation biology. I love to travel! I have been to a couple different countries, and plan on visiting many, many more. I love the beautiful sunshine in the tropics and swimming in the ocean. I enjoy reading a good book, and experimenting with different spices in the kitchen. I like to consider myself an amateur photographer, but the reality is that I'm more like an amateur amateur photographer. I enjoy gymnastics and the feeling of accomplishment as I learn/master challenging acrobatic skills. I love life! (most of the time).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have prayed to God to ask Him if what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches is true, and I received an answer from Him that it is. I know that the Book of Mormon is holy scripture that complements the Bible perfectly, and teaches truth, that if followed, will guide those who have spiritual and temporal questions to true answers. I am also a Mormon because I feel great when I am around and actively participating with the other members of the church. They help me feel like I'm somebody special. The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought and continues to bring peace and joy to my life, which are two things that I can't imagine anybody wanting to live without.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others whenever the opportunity arises. I strive to listen and understand other's points of views, before speaking or judging them. (Although this can be rather difficult sometimes.) I also try to spend time reading in the Bible and the Book of Mormon on a daily basis that way I can learn from past apostles and prophets' examples. In addition to the time I spend reading, I also pray to God, several times a day, to let Him know what I am doing, as well as to listen to His thoughts on what I'm doing. I spend time with my family and creating lasting memories with them.

What is being a Mormon like?

Greg Taylor
It's like any non-Mormons life, but only you know exactly what you are doing here on earth, where you are going after this life, and knowing what to do on earth so that you can have peace and happiness forever. As a Mormon you know exactly what your purpose is in life. Knowing this purpose has helped inspire and guide me in the decisions that I have made and will continue to make. This knowledge helps relieve some of the stress that I feel in my life, and provide support for when things get tough. Show more Show less
