Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I'm a swimmer, a hiker, a happy-camper. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My first job was a lifeguard job when I was fifteen years old. I later took EMT classes and decided it wasn't the way I wanted to go. I live in the mountains and I'm happiest when I'm out with my family hiking or repelling with my Grandpa. I am Called to Serve our lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I'm so excited for the experience to be able to teach people the things I love most in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member but that is not why I believe. I have chosen to be a member because I have learned to believe through my experiences and trials. I've seen the hand of God in my life and I've learned that his plan for me is greater than I even know. I am grateful for that every single day of my life. I am Mormon because I have seen the happiness and blessings in my life and others lives and I want to become more like Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. By putting others first I can grow closer to other people. I will soon be a full time missionary for the Church and dedicate the next 18 months of my life to teach and spread the gospel to others and to come unto Christ.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Kaitlyn
We do not practice polygamy in the church today. Which is a well known rumor about the church because of the history. People that do practice polygamy in the church today are excommunicated. (Pretty much get kicked out of the church.) When the first Mormons came to Utah, god commanded through revelation to Joseph (the prophet at the time) to practice plural marriage because they needed to build up Gods church. Joseph didn't want to, but they obeyed god and they practiced polygamy until 1890. Show more Show less
