Hi I'm Jennifer

I live in Oregon. My ancestors going back 4 generations are Mormon's. I chose to be a Mormon, too.

About Me

For as long as I can remember I wanted to grow up and be a mother. Gratefully I have been blessed with 3 children, who are grown now, and I also got to be a foster mother to 6 other children over a period of ten years. Of all the things I have ever done in my life, nothing has been as rewarding as being a mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I chose to be. My parents taught me the gospel and I prayed to know for myself if what they taught me was true. I felt in my heart and my mind that what they taught me was true. I sometimes wonder if I had not been taught from an early age if I would have recognized that there was something missing in my life and had a strong enough desire to look for it and to embrace it when I found it. I hope I would have.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is a part of my identity and every aspect of my life. I read from the scriptures and pray daily so I might be closer to my Father in Heaven. I seek to be filled with the pure love of Christ so that I can love my neighbor as He does. Each Sunday when we meet I help organize and teach the meetings for the children that are 18 months to 12 years old. In our congregation there are about 100 children that age! We sing songs and teach lessons that encourage gospel learning. I also take the sacrament at church each week. I love the Spirit I feel at church and even when I am on vacation I find the local congregation to attend with. I give %10 of my income as tithing to support humanitarian efforts around the world and within my own community. My desire in all the little actions and events and moments of my life is to become like my Savior.
