Hi I'm Zac Zaccardi

I'm an Artist. I love to pole vault. I'm a missionary in Argentina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Too begin with, I am 19 years old, love art, sports, talking to people, and I love the gospel! I live in the great state of Montana, where the people always greet you with a smile and open arms, even when we say otherwise. (so kindly stay out :) ) haha not really, but that's how we are! I am an avid artist. With this talent, I have placed in several art competitions in high school, been recognized publicly for my art, been commissioned to paint and illustrate pieces that have been successful, and I am currently working on illustrating a children book. One thing about art is that it is one of the most beautiful ways to express thoughts, feelings, love, charity, and sometimes because of this, it can stir up the same things to an observer. While in high school, I participated in varsity soccer and track and field. One of the greatest and funnest things that I have done was pole vault. Nothing beats the thrill of launching yourself up high in the air over a bar, and falling to a mat below. There is so much energy in the sport, and technicality, which only adds to the sense of accomplishment after clearing the bar. Other than high school, I have attended 1 year (or 2 semesters) at BYU-I, completing most of my general studies. I am planning to begin my major in chemical engineering after I have served my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I often hear people say, 'why believe in God?'. I have often pondered this question and I have found that the question should be, 'why not believe in God?'. There is so much promised to us if we believe in Christ and have faith in him. Faith in Christ gives me hope, whereas those who do not, don't really have a solid, unfailing source of hope to guide and comfort them. Thought that question doesn't define my testimony, in fact it is probably just a sliver of what my testimony has grown to become. I have had many experiences that have grown my faith and has proved to me the existence of a God, of the Father, and of the holy Ghost. I know that God loves each and everyone one of us no matter what we have done, or what we will do. Many wouldn't believe that God loves all of his children because of the disasters and tragedy's of our time, but I know he does because he is perfect. Perfect understanding, perfect long suffering, perfect patience, perfect obedience to His Father, perfect sacrifice, perfect meekness, perfect knowledge, perfect charity, perfect selflessness, perfect love. I know that he lives, I know this is his gospel, I know he wants all his children to return to him. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His restored church restored upon the earth in these times.

How I live my faith

Service to others is likely one of the greatest things we can do as human beings. Ever since I was little I have striven to do what I can in service to my fellow men. One way I have done that was joining the Boy Scouts of America. The program showed me how to help people in ways i never knew about, and It also gave me many opportunities to serve others. The things that I have learned from the gospel and also from the boy scouts have helped me notice those in need, and given me knowledge in how I can properly serve them. It really isn't enough to say that someone needs help, that is not service. Once we go out and help that person, without an expectation of reward, then is that service worth it.
