Hi I'm Lindsey Pearce

I'm half-Jamaican. I love to sing, dance, and travel. And yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 4 children, and I can honestly say that I actually love being the "baby". My family and I have moved/lived in many different places, and it has not only allowed me to meet many new faces, but also create lasting friendships. I love having a multicultural background (Jamaican and American) because I feel like I get to enjoy the best of both cultures. Some of my hobbies include: singing, sculpting, sewing, dancing/zumba-ing, cheering, and traveling. I love spending time with my family, but when they aren't around, hanging out with my friends is a great way to pass the time. I am currently a full-time college student, and I'm enjoying everything it has to offer me. One day I hope to become a business owner, an entrepreneur, and a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon? When I was younger, I probably would have answered this question by saying something along the lines of "because I was born into it", but now that I am older and wiser, it means so much more to me. Yes I was born into the church, but I have experienced the Savior's love and comfort through his gospel, that I have been able to gain my own testimony of it. For example, my dad is not a member of this church. Many might see this as a trial in their lives that they have to overcome, but I view it as a blessing. My dad is my hero and a role-model that I strive to be like. Even though we don't share the same faith, I respect him because he respects my beliefs. He supported my mom in letting each of my siblings and I grow up in the gospel and become faithful members in it. His example of selflessness has strengthened testimony that Christ truly lives. I know Heavenly Father put me here on this earth with my family for a reason. We were meant to help and guide each other through this life. One day I hope that my dad will convert to this church, but for now, all I can do is be the best member I can be. I have a testimony that this gospel is true and that Heavenly Father does listen to and answers our prayers. This is why I'm a Mormon and I invite everyone to come and learn more about his gospel, so that you too can enjoy in his warmth.

How I live my faith

I live and practice my faith every day; whether it is by attending church activities, or just trying to live up to the church's standards and guidelines. I am an active member in my ward and I try to fulfill my callings to their fullest. I try to attend the temple as often as I can, because I love the peacefulness and comfort it gives me. I have found that when I surround myself with other individuals who I consider role models, it makes living the gospel so much easier. By having righteous examples in my life, it helps me know that I am not on this journey alone. Service is another way how I live my faith. When I serve others, it helps me see my life through another set of eyes. Many times our lives aren't as bad as they seem, but in order to realize this, we must take a step away from them and join someone else's. I have never walked away feeling worse about myself or my situation after serving others.
