Hi I'm Amanda

I grew up in Utah. I want to be a choir teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying music education. I love singing and want to teach others to sing as well. I am an avid hiker and I love being outdoors and being physically active. One of my most recent pastimes is doing yoga. I try to be happy and for the most part I am pretty successful because of my beliefs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or the Mormon Church, because it helps me to find peace, joy, and direction in my life. I have never felt happier than when I am reading the Book of Mormon and having that warm fuzzy feeling that what it is saying is the truth. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness. I know that we have a Father in Heaven that loves each and every one of us on this earth. He wants us to return to live with Him again. I know that living with Heavenly Father again is possible through the atonement of His Son and our Savior Jesus Christ. This has been testified to me through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. There are many hardships in life, but I know that "with God, all things are possible" (Mark 10:27). I know that Christ has come to Earth and was crucified for our sins and that He rose the third day and was resurrected. I know that He will come again. I live this Gospel because I don't know where I would be without it. I know that the feelings that I have felt are real and that there is a God who love us and that His Gospel has been restored in full again on the Earth today by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God and that the direction and counsel that he gives us is from our loving Heavenly Father. Living this Gospel gives me joy. The teachings of this Gospel are true. I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a friend to everyone I see. I also attend a religious institute to help me learn more about the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It teaches me how to be a better person and how to love those around me. I also live my faith by striving to be happy and rely on my Heavenly Father to help me through my hardships.
