Hi I'm Emari

I believe laughter is best medicine, I'm a college student, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I'm the oldest of 6 kids. I love my siblings and proud to call them my best friends! I'm a college student as a Family, Consumer, and Human Development major with a Family Finance emphasis. One of my hobbies is I love looking at floor plans and analyze them. One day I want to design the floor plan of my home!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been born and raised in the church my whole life. However, I still had to have a conversion and gain my own testimony of the church. One experience that comes to mind happened shortly after my family moved across that country while I was in high school. I was having a really hard time and wish that there was someone who would understand exactly what I was going through. I still attended church with my family during that time, but I wasn't as involved with it as much as I should have. But about 4 months after we moved, I had hit my ultimate low and just needed comfort. One night I prayed, and felt peace. I knew that I had a FATHER IN HEAVEN who LOVED ME! I knew that I had an OLDER BROTHER, JESUS CHRIST who LOVED ME. I knew that he SUFFERED for ME and for EVERYONE over 2000 years ago in the Garden of Gethsemane. I felt that Jesus Christ really knew WHO I was, WHAT I was going through, he UNDERSTOOD everything, he knew how to COMFORT me and give me STRENGTH to keep moving on. He was THERE when I felt like no one else was. Because of this experience, I've gained a testimony of the atonement of Jesus Christ. Without him, I wouldn't have someone who can ALWAYS understand what's going on in my life. Not only did he suffer for all the sins of the world, but he also felt everything. He felt betrayed, forgotten, overlooked, friendless, scared, and even lonely. And he went through it because he LOVES EVERYONE! Because of Jesus Christ, I KNOW that I can be forgiven when I do something wrong, I can feel his comfort, and most of all, I can live with my Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, as well as my family for all eternity, even after death! I am Mormon because I have a testimony of the gospel from The Book of Mormon, to the Atonement, as well as temples, and everything else in between! This gospel brings me peace and comfort!

How I live my faith

I try and be the best person I can be at all times! I try to do things that I am able to have the Holy Ghost with me. I am currently a Gospel Doctrine teacher during Sunday School in my singles ward as well as a visiting teacher.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Emari
I believe the only way to know if Mormonism is true is to study and think about what you are learning, listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost, and then to get on your knees and pray with a sincere heart. In Moroni chapter 10 verses 4-5 in The Book of Mormon, it says: 4. And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. 5. And by the bower of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. Show more Show less
