Hi I'm Cherea

I've lived in Utah and been a member of the Church all my life. I am currently a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. I am extremely musical. I love to sing and have been in choir after choir wherever I go and I also have a tendency to break into song in the middle of public places. I played percussion as well, but haven't had the chance to play much since I came to college. I am an avid reader. I usually love anything fiction and read every time I get a spare moment away from homework and other college type things. I also attempt to write, sometimes. I love volunteering and do it every chance that I get.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have firm testimony of my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. I have had trials in my life and through every one I have been blessed with the support and love of both my Father in Heaven and my brother, Jesus Christ. I have felt them lift me and guide me through every hard or confusing time in my life. I have felt the power of the Priesthood in my life and have seen it heal and give comfort and direction to me and to those around me. I have seen inspiration flow from the pages of the scriptures and felt the love that is channeled through them. I know this church is true and I have seen it work miracles in mine and others lives.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by example. I do the best I can to lift those around me and help in whatever ways that I can. I do my best in any calling that I am given, because I know that is where the Lord wants and needs me to be. I try to always follow the direction from the Lord given to me in my life and go where he wants me to go.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Cherea
We're normal. We go to school, have jobs, hang out with friends, and pretty much everything else that any other person does. The differences of a "Mormon lifestyle" comes in the details. We put an emphasis on family in almost every aspect our lives because we believe that family is one of the greatest joys in life and very important in our Heavenly Father's plan. We also try to share the happiness we find in this life through serving others, missionary work, and other ways of contributing to society. There are other small things that Mormons do differently than some other people but the basic focus of our lives is finding joy, a focus which I believe is shared by most everyone. Show more Show less
