Hi I'm Evan Carlisle Findlay

Missionary serving in Rancho Cucamunga and yes I am a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Utah. Mormon boy born and raised. I am proud to be an American. I love my family and friends, athletics, crossf-fit, reading, music, being out doors, traveling, laughing and most of all I love Jesus Christ and being a missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know because I have read it, and more importantly I asked God in prayer if it was true. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God. I know God has a plan for me. Through the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ I have found peace and happiness that I know I could not enjoy without it.

How I live my faith

I am now a missionary in the Rancho Cucamonga Mission! Being a missionary of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is a very special opportunity. I represent him and the things that he taught. Its a big responsibility but I am so grateful for it!

What is the Book of Mormon?

Evan Carlisle Findlay
The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ. We believe the Book of Mormon, along with the Bible, to be the word of God.The Book of Mormon was translated by Joseph Smith through the power and authority of God. It is an ancient record of the Native Americans and their prophets who also testify of Jesus Christ. Read it. Pray about it. You can also know of the truthfulness of this scripture. Who was Joseph Smith?

Evan Carlisle Findlay
Simply put, Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. Just like many of us, Joseph Smith desired to know the truth. In the spring of 1820, 14 year old Joseph Smith went to a grove of trees near his home and knelt in prayer. Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to him. Through Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ restored his original church and gospel again upon the earth. Show more Show less
