Hi I'm Anna

World explorer, ballerina, Mormon

About Me

I grew up in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, but right now I am traveling the world and training to be a professional ballerina. I have been dancing my whole life. Ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, tap, kick-line, pom-pom, and on my high school team at football and basketball games. Classical ballet is where my heart truly is. 2014: I moved to London by myself and studied fashion marketing at the University of the Arts London College Fashion. London is spectacular and I miss my city. 2015: I attended the Académie Américaine de Danse de Paris (AADP) for their professional ballet trainee program. I met many dancers from around the world and learned un peu de français. France stole my heart and solidified my cheese, chocolate, and croissant obsession. 2017: I moved to central PA to train with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. It is a great program... in a town surrounded by the Amish and featuring many car shows. My foreign travels have included Canada, the Bahamas, England, France, Monaco, Switzerland, Italy, the Vatican, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Wales, Spain, Mexico, Belize, and Honduras. I have been to the temples in Raleigh (NC), Columbia (SC), Washington (DC), Nauvoo (IL), Seattle (WA), Salt Lake City (UT), Houston (TX), San Antonio (TX), Palmyra (NY), Dallas (TX), Kirtland (OH), London (UK), Bern (Switzerland), and Philadelphia (PA).

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are also members of the church so I was raised in the gospel. As I grew up little by little I began to develop my own testimony of its truth. I truly value my relationship with my Heavenly Father, His Son- Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Through the restored gospel I can partake of the sacrament weekly, which strengthens my spirit and renews my confidence. I can also attend the many temples around the world where I can do work for those who passed, on without knowledge of the gospel, and where someday I can be married for time and all eternity. Families can be together forever.

How I live my faith

I attend a really great young-single-adult branch (for unmarried members 18-30) where I teach the women's Relief Society class once a month. This responsibility has been an awesome way for me to study the doctrine more. I am also on a planning committee for young single adult activities.
