Hi I'm Dominica

I'm a Colorado girl that loves adventures. I am a BYU student, a runner, an actor, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a Colorado girl that grew up loving the outdoors and learning how to work hard. I love trying new things and am always involved in something. I snowboard, surf, distance run, rock climb, act, play the trumpet and piano, and have recently began learning how to dirtbike and snowmobile. I love eating and trying new food. I'm the youngest of 7 children and have watched my siblings struggle through many addictions. I'm the first in my immediate family to graduate high school and go to college. I am studying to become a history teacher and I am fascinated with astronomy. I love traveling and seeing the beauty of God's creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it has changed my life for the better. I was following my brothers and sisters down a path that wasn't very good and needed to find something that I believed in. I was afraid of dying and needed to believe in Heaven. The church answered all my questions and it has always felt right. I joined the church when I was 13 years old and it has forever changed my life. As I have gotten older my testimony has grown so much! I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet that restored the full gospel on the Earth. I know that God has given us modern day prophets that lead us and guide us in the ways that we need to go. I would be lost without this church! It has literally saved my life. I know the Lord has blessed me with so much and that is why I am serving a mission, so that I can give something back to Him.

How I live my faith

I am going on a mission for the church! I am going to the Michigan Lansing Mission and will serve for a period of 18 months. I will be sharing the gospel and serving others and trying to become more Christlike every day. At school, before I decided to go on a mission, I was a visiting teaching supervisor. I basically just made sure that the sisters went and visited the girls that they were assigned. In college people can have a hard time transitioning or with school or work and we like to make sure that someone is there to help out if they need to. I have had many church callings and I am always grateful to serve in any way that I can.
