Hi I'm Kira

I am an outdoor lover, a baker, a student, a daughter, a sister, and I am a Mormon :)

About Me

Currently I am a student at BYU-Idaho. I am studying Elementary Education. I love being around my family! They are my best friends :) I love spending time outdoors: camping, rock climbing, hiking, 4-wheeling, fishing, snowboarding...you name it. I love to learn new things! I love photography, and making yummy treats for my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon so I grew up in the Church. I have been Mormon all my life. When I was young I just went along with what I was taught, I believed because my parents believed. When I entered into my youth I started to wonder for myself if the Church was true. I started to really ponder and study to know for myself. I didn't need to lean on my parents' testimonies anymore. Once I was searching for answers and truly pondering what it means to be Mormon, I started to get answers. I felt the Spirit when I attended Church meetings, when I heard hymns, and when I was surrounded by nature. There are so many things that confirmed that the Church is true. The Spirit whispered to me and told me that it is true through all of these experiences. The truth is everywhere. To me, it seems like being Mormon is a lot more than a religion, it is who I am.

How I live my faith

When I think that I live my faith mostly through example. I think about how I go to church on Sunday, The Spirit that I feel around my family in our home, my prayers each day, and the beauty that is all around. There are so many ways that the Lord has blessed my life! When I look back at my life I can see how the Lord's hand has guided me through so much! I know that my Father in Heaven knows me personally. I know that He knows my weaknesses and my strengths. He knows what I can become and who I will be. I know that my heavenly Father answers my prayers in His time and I am so grateful for that. He truly knows what is best for me.
