Hi I'm Zach

I grew up in Vernal, but was born in Logan. I love fishing. I am serving as a missionary in the Czech Republic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fly fisherman. I have been since I was eight years old. I also love camping. I can camp anywhere. I am serving a mission in the Czech Republic. I am loving the people here. I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan. I have read every book since I was eight years old. I also love sword fighting and archery shooting. I love to read and do all sorts of things. My motto is, "You can do it, even if you can't."

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God and it is through him we can be cleansed from our sins and return to our Father in Heaven. Being a Mormon helps me understand my purpose and the purpose of this life. In this way I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary to the Lord. I have been in various leadership positions in scouting and in my priesthood quorums. I go home teaching often, and have many church friends. My ward often does service projects for the widows and needy people in our neighborhood.

In whom should we have faith?

Zach
Faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and in him are the main points of faith in our religion. We believe faith, meaning to believe or trust, is what we need to have in God, who is our Father in Heaven, and in his Son Jesus Christ. Having this belief/faith, and acting on it, is the way we receive Eternal Life and live again in the presence of God. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Zach
The Book of Mormon was written by many ancient prophets by revelation from God. These prophets recorded their history and wrote about the dealings of Christ when he visited among them. One of the final prophet historians in the Book of Mormon, his name being Mormon, abridged the writings of prophets before him and compiled it into a single book before giving it to his son. His son, named Moroni, added the history of another ancient people and wrote in the book a little himself before he hid them in the earth. Joseph Smith, with the help of Moroni, who was an angel having died, found the golden plates upon which the history was written and hidden. Joseph Smith, by the power of God, translated the record into English. Show more Show less
