Hi I'm Eliza

I am an early high school graduate who loves to dance. I have a serious love for food and ballet. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a Mormon family in Rexburg, Idaho. My father teaches at Brigham Young University Idaho and my mother is simply that: a mother. She is the most loving woman I have ever met. From day one, my parents have instilled in me a love of the gospel. They also instilled in me a definite knowledge of choice and accountability. I am a dancer who took her first class at age 4. I have danced my whole life and love ballet with a passion. My parents own The Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone, MT. Because of this, I have performed in plays all my life and have found the stage to be my "home". I had a rough time in high school and never had many friends. This is what made me realize that my family is all I need. I have 2 sisters and one brother who is serving in the London South mission. I am convinced that we are the most close-knit family in the world. We literally do everything together. Leaving for college in Utah in the fall will be a huge adjustment. I plan to study dance in college and then become a teacher. I just want to find what makes me happy.. I just want to find what makes The Lord happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a MORMON because this gospel brings happiness within a world of hate and conflict. I am a MORMON because I have prayed and received assurance that it is true. I am a MORMON because I love my Savior and know that he spilled blood specifically for me. I am a MORMON because I am indebted to my creator to make this world a better place. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me want to change the world and make an impact everywhere I go. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me yearn for eternal happiness and endless blessings. This gospel is true, but most importantly, it is living. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a living and moving thing. Our Savior lives and he loves us with a love that is unimaginable in every single way. Our Heavenly Father wants us to return to him someday. I have a firm testimony of this gospel and know that it brings infinite happiness to partakers of its glory. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is why I'm a MORMON.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be under complete influence of the Holy Ghost. I try to visit the temple once a week and I make an effort to read my scriptures each day. I live my faith by showing Heavenly Father that I love him and that I love his children. I try to put judgments aside and love others as he would. I am a firm believer in beautiful words--I use words to tell people how I feel. I am not afraid to tell someone that I love them. Often, I will pick up my cell phone and text someone a small note just to remind them that I know Heavenly Father loves them and that I love them as well. I live my faith by being happy. I have experienced painful trials in my life...it is because of these hard times that I have a testimony of happiness. Simply smiling at someone makes me feel nearer to God and helps me remember who I am and what I stand for. I live my faith by remembering who I am at all times and remembering my potential. I don't let people's opinions or judgments affect me--I am who I am and I know Heavenly Father loves me unconditionally. I live my faith by loving my faith. I LOVE MY FAITH.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is important to Mormons because we believe that families are sealed together forever. Families are sacred and should never have to part after death. We believe that having a family makes us worthy of the highest degree of glory we could possibly attain. Without family, it would be impossible to reach our highest potential as members of the church. Show more Show less
