Hi I'm Wilson Christensen

I grew up in Utah. I am in love with film, photoshop, and other mediums of art. I am a percussionist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school, during high school I participated in a lot of different things. I like working with cars and getting my hands dirty. I was in band and percussion was my field. I loved playing base in field show, and drum line. I even got to be a part of a more professional indoor percussion group known as "South County Percussion" where I played an electric keyboard. I really love film and photography. I created a sweet video of South County at practice using my GoPro. That's just a little bit about me so far, I'm just about to go serve in the California Roseville Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, my parents raised me to go to church and always choose the right. It wasn't until my sophomore year till I really did convert, and my testimony meant something to me. I really did believe in the gospel of Christ, and I wanted to choose good over evil. It just ended up being that I liked serving the world more. It all changed in seminary. My first impression of my seminary teacher that year was that he was a total weirdo. He made me feel so obligated to participate, but I would rather just sit back and watch instead. But slowly I started to realize how much better it was to put in the effort. It got to the point where not only was my spirituality escalated, but the evil and temptations in my life equally amplified. I could not progress both ways any longer, and had to decide which path I was going to follow. I chose that the gospel was the right thing to do, it mattered more to me what God thought of me, than what the world thought of me. It was one of the most difficult trials in my life so far, and I'm so glad that I chose right way. My testimony is stronger than ever, and my faith continues to grow. I would have no reason to still be around if it wasn't for my relationship with God, and my trust in his plan for me.

How I live my faith

My senior year I served as a member of the seminary council. It was a really great experience. I was able to share my talents and views that made a big difference in seminary. The biggest way I helped was with my passion in film making. We had lots of seminary videos and we learned more when we worked together on them. I like to draw and create art in various mediums, like photoshop. I've always tried to find ways that I can use these talents for sharing my beliefs. There is a way that you can convey feelings in art that can't always be explained in words. I learn more about my self when I just let the pencil do the talking, and hope that through it, someone else will learn something more too.
