Hi I'm Barbara

I grew up in Pocatello Idaho. I've been a mormon all my life, and I love music.

About Me

I have played the piano most of life. Since I was a little kid I wanted to play like my older sister who is really good. I like to sing and be with my family. I'm married and I have a little boy. I love my husband and boy. They bring so much joy to my life. I'm a stay at home mom, which is a full time job, but is the best job I could ever do. It has been my dream all my life to be a wife and mother and no career could bring the kind of happiness my family brings me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member since I was eight years old. All my life I've tried to what was right. I've always been taught that it's important to love others and serve others. I have learned through experience that by doing these things it brings great happiness in my life. I know Jesus Christ lived on this earth and He is the ultimate example of how I should live my life. I know he lives. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and that he translated the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know the Prophet of our church is a prophet of God and that God speaks through him and tells us what we need to be doing to better our lives. I continue to strive to live the gospel because I know that there is more to this life. If I live the teachings of Jesus Christ, I will be able to one day live with Him and my Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

In my ward I play the piano for the ward choir. We practice each week and usually perform a song once a month at church. I also pick songs for our worship service. I teach a class when ask to do so. I befriend and visit people who are in need of a friend. I do my best to smile and be kind to everyone I come in contact with.
