Hi I'm Shayna Sudweeks

I was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. I'm a singer, piano player, and Sister Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My absolute favorite thing to do is play the piano. I've been playing since I was around the age of five and have loved the expression and entertainment from it. I was also in a range of choirs (all girls choir, general choir, chamber choir, and show choir) during my middle school and high school years. I love to read and write, and I'm obsessed with anything and everything Disney! I attended a year of college at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, majoring in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. I am currently serving an LDS mission in Toronto Canada! I love sharing the hopeful, joyous message of the Gospel with the people here. I have four younger siblings, two brothers and two sisters, and a mother and a father, all of whom I love very much!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life, having been raised by faithful parents and other family members. My testimony has been tried several times, but I stand strong and firm in my faith of the Savior and my Father in Heaven. The gospel has brought such peace, comfort, and joy into my life. It has helped me lead a happy, healthy life, and I've come to be so much more thankful for the things around me. My greatest desire is to serve a mission to be able to spread such amazing truths and promises to others and bring them to the happiness that I have.

How I live my faith

I was the president of the different age classes in my Young Women's group, and I often play the piano for hymns during church activities or meetings. For a while I was part of the ward choir and sometimes accompanied them. While in college, I was called to be the pianist in the women's classes, and then the ward music coordinator (I put together the hymns and musical numbers for church every Sunday).
