Hi I'm Jeanine

I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I spent 21 years working for Brigham Young University as a legal secretary. I retired from there about 7 years ago. One of my greatest joys is being with my family--our children and their families and my mom and siblings and their families. In addition, I have always loved the outdoors including camping, hiking, working in my garden, and picnicing. I enjoy cooking and sewing. I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints my entire life. I went to church all the time as I was growing up without thinking too much about it. I loved the lessons and the people so it wasn't hard for me to go. As I grew up, however, there came a time when going to church was a struggle. It was hard, as a single mother of 3, to get everything ready so we could be there on time. On the way to church one day, I stopped and asked myself why I was going. As I sat and thought and prayed, I came to a few specific conclusions. First, I came to the realization that I knew that the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by our church was true, that Joseph Smith restored the church, that the Book of Mormon is true, and that we are lead by a prophet today. Next, I realized that I was going to church because I wanted to go not because my parents wanted me to or any one else. I also realized that I wanted my children to go to church and learn of our Savior and Redeemer and have the guidance of the church in their lives. Since that time, my testimony of the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ has grown and strengthened.

How I live my faith

I have spent the last several years working with individuals who want to learn how to do family history or genealogy. While I am not a certified genealogist, I have a working knowledge of family history and love helping others begin their work of finding and documenting information about their ancestors. In addition, I love visiting with people in my neighborhood, particularly other ladies, and helping them when they have a need. I am currently beginning a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and look forward to working with people in my area who want to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
