Hi I'm Jana

Hi. I am a mom and a grandma. I have lived in Utah all my life, but love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just turned 54 years old. I have been divorced now for 13 years after 21 years of marriage. I have four wonderful children, three of which are married, the other one returned from a mission four months ago. I have four grandchildren that I adore, with two more coming later this year. I work full time for a local school district. I love to travel, read and be outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been Mormon, so I haven't experienced a different religion in my life. I stay a Mormon because the teachings answer all my questions, whether in good times or bad. I believe completely in the teachings, such as where we lived before we came to Earth, what our purpose is for being here on Earth, and what happens after we die. I understand that I have a loving Heavenly Father that cares about me and knows me personally. I know I have an older brother, Jesus Christ, that is a great example to me of how I should live my life. I know that He atoned for our sins and makes it possible for us to be forgiven of our sins, to be resurrected and to have eternal life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to keep the commandments. I attend my church meetings regularly and attend the Temple monthly. I am currently what we call a ward missionary. I go visit homes and apartments in our neighborhood looking for those who are interested in becoming involved with us. I also create a newsletter monthly for people in our area. I live my faith by abstaining from drugs, tobacco and alcohol. I value marriage between a man and a women, I value the family unit.
