Hi I'm Nina Midge Blake

I am a Mother of 4 and a grandmother of 22 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on a farm in Montana and later moved with my family to Washington State. I grew up in the church and enjoyed going to church when I was young. There are 13 children in my family of which I am number eleven. My husband and I moved to Alaska in 1973. We had 3 children at the time and number 4 about 5 years later. When my youngest daughter was 8, my husband died in a plane crash coming home from bear hunting. My children and I moved back to the continental United States where after a few years I remarried. We lived in Southern California until my husband became too ill to work. We moved to Northern California where he passed away of cancer. I now live with one of my married daughters and her 6 children.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart. I know that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and translated the Book of Mormon for our time. I know that President Monson is a living prophet for our time. We are so blessed to have the counsel of true men of God to guide us in this life. How wonderful it is to share this with our fellowmen. I am on a full time mission for the church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is a pleasure to serve my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and help the young Elders and Sisters in the work of bringing souls unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I have had the privilege of working with the children of the church in many different capacities. The children are so sweet and innocent and have such faith in our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that it is a pleasure to be around them. I am grateful for the opportunities that I have been given to serve my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and to share my testimony of them. I know that they live and are there when we need them the most. I am grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for me. I will always be grateful that I was born to parents who taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ and taught me to pray when I had a problem.
