Hi I'm Russell P. Langford

I am a Mormon. I grew up in Utah and have over 40 Mormon pioneer ancestors.

About Me

I moved with my family when I was nine years old from the city to more rural town in Utah. I was a member of the 4H club and raised animals such as cows, chickens, sheep and horses. I was athletic in Jr. High School and loved the high jump. As an adult I had a career in the pipe trades. I love to build things. I love to see the progress being made when I work on a project and the satisfaction I feel when a project is completed. I am now retired. I am married to a wonderful woman and we have raised three sons. We love to go boating at Lake Powell in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are members of the church. They taught me about God, Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith and Gods plan for us. I never doubted those teachings. When I was about 14 I decided to read the Book of Mormon completely through. While reading the book I began to know for myself the truthfulness of the book and its teachings. Through the years of living, learning and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ my faith has grown greatly.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life so as to be an example to people around me. I am kind and helpful to those in need. I have worked with the young men in the Boy Scout program for over ten years. I love to see the progress toward manhood these young men make during the time they spent in scouting. My wife and I have raised three sons who love the gospel of Jesus Christ and are kind and helpful to others.
