Hi I'm Kade Cornelison

I am 21 years old. I grew up in a great family in Tri-Cities, WA. I am currently serving a full time mission in CA! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kade Cornelison. I grew up with five brothers. I happen to be smack in the middle of them. They are my best friends we grew doing a lot together. My family means everything to me.Some of the things I love to do with family and friends is snowboarding, boating, hiking, and pretty much anything fun. I am currently serving in the Roseville, CA mission. I have been out for a little over a year. My mission has changed who I am. I have come to know my savior so much better. I know that He died for me so that I might have the opportunity to live with my loving Heavenly Father. This means everything to me. It means that I can overcome anything that life throws at me with the help of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, and raised by active, loving parents. They taught me from a young age what God expects of us, and taught me the doctrine of Christ. I honestly took that for granted for a long time. It wasn't until my teenage years that I found myself needing to gain a belief of this gospel for myself. I needed a foundation that I could stand on. So I decided to put it to the test. I had been told over and over that you have to read the Book of Mormon and then pray about it sincerely and with faith, asking God that he might bear witness to you of it's truthfulness through the Holy Ghost. I had the Book of Mormon before, but I didn't dive into it with a thirst to know the truth for myself, but this time I did. I spent a lot of time studying, pondering, and praying about it. At last when I finished it, I knelt beside my bed and offered a humble prayer to my Father in Heaven. I received an answer. Not in the form of a Heavenly Being descending down to me, but by a still small voice, a warm burning feeling inside of me that I can not deny. From then on I knew for myself that this Church is true. It has given me so much. I have found so much peace and happiness knowing that God still calls Prophets today, and that he speaks through them, That the same Church that Christ established over two thousand years ago is here on the world again. with Christ at the head directing his work. The amount of peace and happiness I have received from this is why I am currently serving a mission. I want others to feel of the joy I have experienced.

How I live my faith

Action. There is no better way to show that I love and live my faith then following through with what I profess to believe. I try and emulate my Savior. He gave the world a perfect example of love and charity. I love opportunities to serve others. Whether it is helping them in a yard, or being there for them when they are struggling. I know that we are all God's children, and that he loves us all more than we can possibly comprehend. I try to always remember that, so that I might treat my fellow brothers and sisters with love and kindness.
