Hi I'm Jacob Bailey

I grew up in California and Utah. I'm an aspiring artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am interested in the world around me as seen through the arts and humanities. I am currently studying these in my American Studies major at college as well as on my own when I have the time. I love to have conversations, read books, watch films, listen to music, and otherwise just have fun wherever I'm at. I want to cultivate these interests further by working at other interests that I have, namely writing and acting. I love to write on my own and hope to publish soon, and I'm also looking for opportunities to learn to how to act so that I can possibly pursue a career in film or theatre. I am also fascinated by travelling. I have traveled around most of the United States and plan on seeing more of the world soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so for all of my life I have tried to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ. I continue to do so because it has helped me overcome my weaknesses and strengthened my resolve to follow my dreams and live a better life at the same time. I have a testimony that God and His son Jesus Christ love us all individually and perfectly, and that they want us all to have happiness and joy in this life as well as the afterlife. They want us to experience this life so that we can better know who we are and who we can become. We are so much more than we may think, and I testify that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can return to God and become like Him. I am so grateful to be a member of His church, and I invite you to see what it can do for you as well.

How I live my faith

I attend my local church on Sundays and go to all the meetings that they have on a 3-hour block, as well as any other meetings that I possibly need to attend. I have a calling as a hometeacher to various families in the congregation I belong to. This calling entails visiting with these families to discuss life and how it can relate to the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as helping them if they require my assistance in any way. In living life outside of going to church and performing my calling, I try my best to live according the gospel's teachings to help better my life so that I can reach out to other individuals and show my love for them and God.
