Hi I'm Rebecca

I grew up in Ohio and love it there! I love the beauty of the world and enjoy stopping to smell the roses. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love movies and food, especially if they come together :) I love serving others and take every opportunity I can to do so. Photography is one of my favorite hobbies, specifically taking pictures of nature. I love to just have fun and be goofy. I love, love, love singing and take every chance I can to do so! I like to think and be challenged, but like to relax as well. My favorite way to relax is to just snuggle up and watch a movie or listen to music. I am planning on switching my major from Chemistry Education to Political Science, and going into Non-Profit :) For the next 18 months I will be serving a mission in Washington State and couldn't be and more excited! Being a member of this church has given me everything I have in my life. I am so grateful!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, and loved going to church. As I got older I realized that even though I had gone to church my whole life and had been baptized, I still needed to be converted myself. I did this by reading the Book of Mormon and praying to gain a witness and testimony of its truthfulness, and they came. I now continue to read the Book of Mormon on a regular basis as well as the Bible and other sources of Church doctrine. I choose to be a member of this faith because of the peace and happiness it brings me. When I am troubled or lonely, the Book of Mormon is my greatest comfort. It has helped me grow and learn so much about myself and who I am meant to and can be! I strive everyday to be a better person, and my foundation in this is this gospel. Without it, I have nothing.

How I live my faith

I was very involved in my ward at home (I am now at college). I was president of my youth classes a couple of times and got to plan and hold activities for them. I served with youth from my stake to plan larger activities as well. I loved going to youth night activities and spending time with the youth and leaders. I take every chance I can to spend time with my ward family! I try my best to be an example to others and follow my standards. I avoid situations that are not the most uplifting and helpful to me, and try to create ones that are.
